A big reason why PIT shutout BUF was the awesome gaps from their D…frustrating BUF in the neutral zone and causing them to turn A LOT of pucks over. They had their forwards tracking back, allowing D to play aggressively and be tight above BUF’s forwards. Great job!

FACEOFF INTENSITY. Watch Marchand win this draw for his C…after he was beat clean. Coaches, think about taking faceoff stats not just for centers, but for their lines. Many of the draws are won or lost by their linemates…and in this case ended up in a goal!
